Pittman was a guest at the June 2013 Writers Showcase at the Fairhope Public Library. She read from her upcoming novel, The Trouble With Grits.
With fellow members of the Fairhope Writers Group, Pittman receives a proclamation of service from Fairhope mayor, Tim Kant for their collection of short stories set in or written about Fairhope, Alabama. Fairhope Anthology: Second in a Series was released in November 2014.
